A number of members have suggested we do a workshop on life drawing and/or portraiture; so, we decided to combine the two using the same approach and measuring techniques in both sessions to provide continuity of thought throughout. Suitable for experienced artists and beginners, the programme will look like this:
Morning session, 10 am to 1 pm: LIFE DRAWING – with some short and then a longer pose (please note: our model will be clothed, not nude).
Afternoon session, 1.45 pm to 3.45 pm: PORTRAITURE – again there will be several poses here and if you don’t want to do a portrait you can do the full figure.
Conclusions, 3.45 pm to 4 pm.
As usual, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, but you'll need to bring your own lunch. You will also need to bring your own drawing and painting materials. If this is your first time attempting this subject, Ronnie suggests you stick to line and tone, rather than colour, so bring graphite, charcoal, black and white chalk or something similar. Paper should be at least A3 sized.
The cost will be £32 for members or £35 for non-members, payable in advance (we'll tell you how, in due course). There are only 16 places available and some have already been taken; so if you'd like to join the workshop please let us know as soon as possible, either via the contact form here
or by email to Sera Knight. The workshop is now FULL.
