Canaletto at The Lightbox, Woking, Thursday 22 September at 7pm

A talk about the artist Canaletto – in the context of the Lightbox exhibition ‘Canaletto and Melissa McGill: Performance and Panorama’
Here is the link to the talk where you can buy tickets - - and for more information about the exhibition, visit:

The exhibition pairs artist Melissa McGill along with Canaletto who both explore the sights and sounds of Venice, despite living and working 250 years apart. The centrepiece of the exhibitions is ‘Venice: The Feast Day of Saint Roch’ by Canaletto, on loan from The National Gallery.

The exhibition also features some of Canaletto’s works made in England and Siân’s talk will explore this further as well as providing an introduction to his work. Siân teaches and lectures at The National Gallery and the Wallace Collection.
