Our outdoor exhibition in central Woking will take place on Saturday 27 June in the covered area of Mercia Walk.
Located in a busy shopping area, the exhibition usually attracts excellent footfall, making it a great opportunity to showcase your artwork and, hopefully, make some sales.
All members are welcome to exhibit, simply turn up on the day. There are no hanging fees, but all works must be for sale, with sales subject to a 15% commission. All artwork must be your own original work or a professionally produced, high-quality print of your work.
All exhibiting artists will be expected to take a stewarding slot during the day. We also need a few volunteers to arrive early to help set up the exhibition boards before the event opens.
What to Bring:
Please bring enough artwork to fill one exhibition board, together with a couple of spare pieces if you have them. Once all artists have been allocated a board, the Exhibition Organiser will assign any remaining space. Hanging cords will be provided.
All displayed works must have a label that is clearly visible from the front. Labels must not be attached directly to the exhibition boards, as Blu-Tack and other adhesives can leave permanent marks. Each label should include:
Title of the work, Medium, Price,Artist’s name.
If possible, please also include a contact telephone number so that potential buyers can speak directly with the artist and, if appropriate, discuss the price.
Artists may also bring up to 10 folio pieces. Each piece should be presented in a protective acetate sleeve and labelled at the top front with the same information required for hanging works, together with a clear heading stating either ORIGINAL WORK or PRINT.
In addition, artists may bring up to 20 art cards for sale. Cards will be sold at £3 each or four for £10. Art cards may be either original artworks or high-quality printed reproductions. Each card must be professionally packaged, and the artist’s name must be clearly visible on either the card itself or its packaging.
